The facial oil I‘ve tried

I have extremely dry skin, as I mentioned in other articles, so I use quite a lot of moisturizers, even facial oil. I am not talking about the cleansing oil but massage oil.

How to apply the facial oil?

Oil works really well on every types of skin, and it improves skin tone and circulation, and reduces puffiness and wrinkles. As to me, the oil itself won’t give lots of benefits if you don’t massage into your skin.

For Chinese, we sometimes go to the clinic for scraping therapy. We believe that it will stimulate the circulation and clear toxin on the face or body, depends on which part you are scraping. I know there are some Chinese medical clinic will provide this therapy, but it will be much more expensive than China. Furthermore, if you are going to scape your face, you don’t even need a helper.

scrapping tools

This is the basic tool to do the scraping, you only need to do it 1-2 per month, following the picture instruction, scape till your face become a bit red. Sometimes if you got lots of toxin underneath, you can see the redness appeals quite obviously, but it will all fade away, don’t worry. After scraping, you will find your skin is much brighter and healthier, acnes or other skin problems will improve.

Bio oil

This is my favorite oil. It helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone. Not only do I use it for facial massaging, but I also apply on my body after shower. I had eczema around my belly and my bikini area after I moved to England. (Really embarrassed. =.=‘) I went to GP and applied some medical cream, it cured but the scratching scars stay. To be honest, this oil really make my marks fade away!!! There are a lot of moms use bio oil for stretch marks in pregnancy.

You could purchase it for £19.99 200ml in Supermarket and Boots, it’s quite popular. The best price is in Cosco, much better than sales in the retail store, though you can get 3 for 2 in boots sometimes. For a functional and effective facial and body oil, it’s absolutely fair price.

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum

I am not a fan of Elizabeth Arden, I did use the eye cream before, but it wasn’t that impressive. My cousin recommended this serum capsules to me, in fact it is the oil inside of the capsules. It absorbs amazingly, you won’t have the bright and oily face if you massage into your skin. I cannot look for the pink capsule in England, as my cousin told me, the pink one is for younger age, and the golden one is for mature skin. For 90 capsules is £84 on lookfantastic, you can get extra discount on it.

It’s very easy to apply, feel silky texture instead of oil feeling. You won’t feel greasy, it just right enough, and your makeup will be more natural after using this capsule. If you apply in the evening before sleep, you will feel the difference, soften and more radiant. For one capsule, I think it’s a bit too much for one time use, that’s why I divide into 2 times use, day and night.

Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate

It got ginger root and sunflower in it, it sounds like sunshine and morning products. My face always looks dull when I wake up, probably I slept too late. 😛 Well, for a morning product, it is ok, but I am not really into it. Firstly, It comes with the buret head, on the other hand, it’s not that easy to apply. It is too liquid for oil texture, it just get a bit wild on my face, so I have to drop it on my palm and apply instead of directly drop on my face. Secondly, after using it, I put on my make up and I can still see some peeling on my chin. £38 for 30ml, it’s not expensive, but I use it not only 1-2 drops but quite a lot because it’s not sort of smoothly applied products.
